Fabulous Indian Cuisine
The food at Swagat is rich and aromatic, and everything that I have tried there is delicious. The lunch buffet (which features a wide selection of extremely fresh entrees and appetizers and unlimited masala tea) seems to be gaining popularity and it gets a bit crowded on weekends, but we have never needed to wait for a table. Service is fast and friendly and the decor is unique, but beautiful.
The prices are slightly higher (only by about 1-2 dollars per person) than I’m accustomed to spending on Indian food in other cities like Philadelphia and Boston, but the food (and the delicious tea) is well worth it.
Dishes I tried:
Chicken Tikka Masala
Swagat makes a fantastic version of this dish that is rich, creamy and fragrant, made with only white-meat chicken. It is available in mild, medium, or hot (very spicy, be careful).
This dish is always available on the lunch buffet in my experience.
Mutter Paneer
Delicious! A little spicy, but it works with the sweetness of the peas.
