I must tell you that T-Bonz in one of those restaurants that prove that you don’t have to pay outrageous prices for 5-star food. I have eaten here DOZENS of times and my food has always been fresh and delicious, the wait for food or a table has always been short, and the staff has always been warm and friendly. The dining room is a typical (yet very clean) rustic steakhouse design, with all kinds of crazy crap on the walls, which is always a fun source of communication with your dinner companion(s). My drink has never gone below half before they offer to refill and they have always asked if I’d like a dessert before giving me the bill, which is a DEFINITE plus that most places overlook nowadays. The PGA’s beloved Masters golf tournament which makes Augusta so popular is only 1 mile from this location. BTW- the T-Bonz across town (1654 Gordon Hwy) is also wonderful, its just that the Washington Rd location is closer for me.
Not everyone can make prime rib as delicious as T-Bonz of Augusta. I’ve had this dish 4 times now and everytime it has been tender, not chewy like most steakhouses. They do need to choose their meats a little better when it comes to the prime rib. 3 of the 4 times, it has been pretty fatty, but that’s the risk you take when ordering this dish anywhere.
If you lean more towards the lighter fare, T-Bonz’s chicken salad is a must! It is light, delicious, and very flavorful.
Delicious in every bite. The chefs almost seem to revolve around burgers and fries at lunchtime. I guess thats because they do such a great job at them and the price is very reasonable for the amount you get. I’m a pretty big guy at 6’1" 260, so you know I’m a bit of an eater, this sandwich fills me without feeling bogged down.
