Lunchtime comes to Tango!

From my previous reviews, it is no secret that i am a fan of this establishment. That is what prompted me to be first in line to experience Lunch at Tango. For the moment, lunch is available on Wednesdays through Friday, but I hope this is an experiment that lasts. There is no sacrifce in the quality or the inventiveness of these lunchtime offerrings. The portion size of the entrees are totally adequate to satisfy your hunger as a stand alone meal. But should you decide to add a starter or a dessert, you are certain to leave with that same stuffed feeling that has made those 3 course dinners famous. The service was excellent and we were served and managed to finish our meal in less than an hour. With most entrees priced between $10 and $15 it is not an extravagant price for an extravagant dining experience.

Bad food in a ghetto! Go for the fried chicken.

Not unlike my first attempt at romance.. something was severely lacking and..almost…unlearned an uncaring..I’m not sure what it was…It’s seemed to be short on common sense and long on hubris..But what ..would … one… expect from a Pan/Asian/Fusion ??? restaurant in the unlikely spot as is Escondido, California? Nevertheless, don’t waste your money here..travel a few miles West to Del Mar and get food. Real food.Or better yet…get Mexican food… when in Rome!

Tango Restaurant is STILL OPEN

Tango Restaurant is open for business and still the best dining experience in North County. The sxpanded dining room is beautiful, and the Lounge is now serving cocktails.

Great Addition to Grand Avenue

My family and I have been to Tango three times. Twice for dinner and once for Mother’s Day Brunch. We love it! The food is creative, the portions are good but small enough to allow for more than one course, and the presentation original and fun. We loved the Mother’s Day brunch, and hope that they will do a Father’s Day brunch as well. The regular prices are fair for the quality of food and presentation, and there are options to try the restaurant at promotional rates. I’m a pesco-vegetarian. and they have dishes that I can eat without asking for alterations. Try this restaurant!

Dishes I tried:

Gnocchi, Panini & Tomato Bisque Plate

Strong, rich flavors, great presentation, and perfect for a non-vegan vegetarian.

Our party of 10 tried almost all the desserts on the menu the night we were there, and then as a party of four we tried other desserts that were specials that night. Every one was great and the presentations were nearly as good as the food! Try the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler or the donuts. Yum!

Great food and ambience

Had a wonderful dinner with friends last night at Tango. The amuse bouche was a wonderful little surprise and very tasty. My husband and I tried the souffle tast to start and I was impressed, all three were very flavorful and the plating was beautiful. My friends had the ahi tasting and it was equally pretty. For dinner I had the venison. Pefectly cooked and seasoned, the venison meatloaf is something not to be missed. My husband had the halibut and it as very mild and taty, cooked perfectly and again plated beautifully. Escondido is coming up in the world of fine cuisine.

Excellent

I hope Tango can attract enough regular customers to be successful in Escondido. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Every bite was a taste delight.
We loved everything. I can’t imagine what happened to the one reviewer that had a bad experience at Tango. As good as any restaurant in its price range in San Diego county.

Strong pumpkin taste with only a hint of typical “pumpkin pie” spices.
