140 S Murphy Ave
Sunnyvale, CA
(408) 737-8003

Summary: The Food Tarragon purveys new California cuisine with Mediterranean and Pacific Rim influences and to accommodate the needs of revelers along Murphy Avenue, Tarragon serves the whole menu until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on weekends. Most things from the wood-fired pizza oven and rotisserie are worth sampling, from the smoked salmon pizza to the spit-roasted chicken. Nothing is wildly inventive, but it's hard not to feel hip sipping a drink at the bar. The Scene A sweeping curved bar dominates the front section of the dining room and moody, directional lighting casts dramatic shadows around the long dining room and big exhibition kitchen. A small patio that fronts Murphy Avenue makes for great people watching during warmer months.

Sometimes, it all comes together. The look, the feel, the flavor, the service. At Tarragon, we like to surprise people. While our location is Downtown Sunnyvale, our atmosphere is very uptown, indeed. Our menu provides fresh and local flavors. Whether it's our oven baked seafood, sausage & chicken paella, or fresh beef prepared over a mesquite grill, dinner at Tarragon is unforgettable. Tarragon also features a banquet room for private dining for up to 250 people with amenities including a full bar, dance floor, and patio.

Come and surprise yourself.

Pretty standard fare Mediterranean food. Bread from the wood fired brick oven is tasty when waiting for your food to come. Nothing special, but it is hard to go wrong at this place.

Best grilled steak - wood burning oven

Had dinner there last night really enjoyed the grilled ribeye, it was wonderful, Denise the bartender makes a mean manhattan. Wine selection was great and reasonably price definitely will be going back. Highly recommend it for large groups.
