after a night of dancing at le passage, i made my way to this late nite cafe a few blocks down w/my friends to grab some dessert. at 3AM, we were suprised to find a superbly packed restaurant! most everyone seemed to be enjoying a hefty breakfast dish of some sort.

our service was pretty bad (slow & w/attitude), but the dessert i had was good. the decor seemed more like a breakfast place (w/a view of the kitchen, a pie counter, and booths & wood tables).

I have been wanting to try out Tempo Cafe for the longest time but every time I have wanted to go, it has always been super crowded! This time I went on a Friday afternoon and we got in almost immediately! Tempo Cafe is a great place for brunch – it is so convenient to get to (located on the corner of Chestnut and State) and in the summer, they also have tables outside. The service is friendly and the food is great! I had the gold coast omelette and would definitely come back again. Although the food is good, I am not sure if I could handle waiting a hour for a seat though!

I’ve been to Tempo both in the afternoon for brunch and late at night/early morning after a night on the town. It’s delicious. The omelettes are huge, fluffy and buttery. But be careful…it cash only!
