Old school izakaya, with the usual izakaya fare done competently at great price. The tofu steak & yakitori dishes are great. You can hang around with friends for a couple of friends, eating and drinking for hours in this low key, relax environment.

Wow, the reviews weren’t kidding when they said it was small place. It’s a very casual and relaxed atmosphere. Parking is a problem but you can try to park across the street at Von’s at your own risk. We ordered a variety of dishes: grilled eggplant, baby squid, both tofu steaks, asari butter clams, kabocha pumpkin, yam tempura, soba noodles, and some skewers – all for $12 per person!
My personal favorites were the squid, tofu steak with egg, the kabocha pumpkin and last but not least the shishto peppers.
