| Summary: On a strip crowded with chic, pricey eateries, Thai Village is most noteworthy for being easy on the wallet. The restaurant offers an unbeatable lunch special (daily 11am-3pm) that includes soup, an appetizer and a noodle or rice dish. Regulars stick to the pad thai, wild curry and eggplant and basil dishes, though more exotic entrees like whole-fried tilapia are tempting too. | ||

Thai Village
August 11, 2008
Pretty good food, but not much vibe
On the bustling street of Division with great little trendy restaurants Thai Village is good food with no flair. If you are going to enjoy the meal, it holds its own. It has a nice size inside and of course the sidewalk dining that Division Street offers. The service was ok, but would wouldn’t call it charming. Over sized, color plastic cups is better then many restaurants on the street the street to serve water, but a glass would have been nice. I would come back, but only after I tried some of the other restaurants down the street. The food is very inexpensive, but it is BYOB.
Dishes I tried:
Cream Cheese Wantons
Good. Could have used a bit more cream cheese, but they were good. Great sweet dipping sauce to flavor the dish. Worst of the three that we had, but still not bad.
Curry
We have curry with Chix, which had a great flavor. They sauce was a bit too runny for my tastes, but the flavor was very good.
