This restaurant is pretty good. They have whole bellied Ipswich clams, which taste a lot like the old Howard Johnson clams, which everyone who ever tried them still seems to be longing for but unable to find a suitable substitute.
The prices are reasonable, their Clam Bake Beer is great, and their Early Bird Specials are a good deal.
The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant tends to get crowded at times. At times you have to wait up to a half an hour for a table.
All in all, I would rate this restaurant a 3, but I would definitely give it a try if you like seafood. You might rate it a 5!
a little tough but good flavor. Try the Early Bird Special where you get the dinner, chowder, and slaw or fries. Also be sure to try the Clam Bake Brew… a very good beer that goes great with the meal.

I’ve been to dozens of seafood restaurants in Florida, and overall The Clam Bake is by far my favorite. There clams are amazing, tasty, perfectly sized, and NOT sandy. The blackened haddock was great too…I’m yet to be disappointed. They have a wide variety of Boston style seafood, which can be prepared to your liking. They are very reasonably priced (many dishes are only $10) and the portions — lunch and dinner — ensure you will leave full. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to.
They even have a nice selection of beer and alcohol.
