One word: Korma…and you’ve got to try this sweet curry from the Clay Pit! Korma is my favorite item on the menu, but I’ve tried all of their curries and have never been disappointed. Each dish is customized to your preferred level of heat, from mild to extra spicy, and nothing is complete without a basket of naan, which is kind of like an Indian pita. I’d recommend any varieties with galic on it. And for you celiacs out there—almost everything on the menu is gluten-free. Just ask your waiter!

The food isn’t the only reason to try The Clay Pit—the atmosphere is like sitting in the middle of a low-lit wine cellar, but you can fit in whether you’re wearing jeans or business professional. And remember—parking is free in the lot to the left (right before you get to the restaurant on Guadalupe) after 5:30, so you shouldn’t have to worry!

Excellent Indian food with lots of variety in the dishes. An upscale/trendy atmosphere, so it makes for a nice date place. Every time I have gone there has been a little bit of a wait, but it is worth it (or else there wouldn’t be a line of people trying to get a table!)
