Gourmet Juicy Burgers

So, I have been known to drive 2 hours for a burger so I was up for the challenge when my girlfriend wanted to treat me for my birthday.

IT is a very clean, modern place-the stainless and natural wood look. You are promptly greeted and given a clipboard where you can "create"your dream burger 1/3,2/3 to a full one pounder!

The help is young and attractive. Our waiter looked like Matt McConaughey-This only added to the experience!

They have beer on tap (the good stuff) and various bottled beers and wines!
COKE is also served over Pepsi-(YEAH big plus!)

Dishes I tried:

So, I know my burger and expect certain things. IF you love the grilled flavor you would definitely give this a 5 stars. I did love the burger but was honestly overwhelmed by the char taste. I had a burger with Tillamook and various toppings. I Recommend the sweet potato and regular fries and OH, the deep fried dills in a panko bread crumb-YUMMY!

mmmmm mmmmm great

Let it be known now that I rarely eat red meat ..it is only every 2-3 months that my carnivorous instincts come out and when they do , the meat better be excellent. I heard of The Counter based on some newspaper raves.

I stumbled upon the place by accident in July and on a whim went in . The restaurant is a mix of industrial and retro decor. The build your own hamburger order form is a bit overwhelming but it lets you know that they are serious about their burgers. I am a purist when it comes to burgers so I went with “old School” off of the signature menu and told them to throw in their fried dill pickles….Well for four months I have been think about that burger.

In December , I took my daughter for her birthday along with my mom. This time , we sat with the lunch crowd. Even in economic downturns this place was busy with customers. We started the little bit of everything sides ( the sweet potatoes fries are excellent) Then we suddenly got very quiet while we were were moaning over our hamburgers. They cook the hamburgers medium ( enough pink to scare the faint of heart ) But be brave , it’s how these burgers should be eaten.
