Slinger House
Newly remodeled and re-opened Aug 2012. Atmosphere is nice and dining is cozy. Feels like a pub should. Staff were all friendly. Very full and noisy crowd on a Friday night. Has an outdoor patio. Genereous selection of beers.
Dishes I tried:
Fried Cod Fish Fry
Cod was slightly above average. I prefer a flaky beer batter rather than the crusty batter it had. Fish itself was good. Came with choice of 2 sides. I elected potato pancakes and salad but the waitress brought the salad with the meal instead of before. Potato pancakes were good but small. Salad was average.

Newly Remodeled...Friendly....Great Food
We really were impressed with our visit. Clean and bright atmosphere. “Jen” our server was pleasant and cheerful.Great tap beer selection. Calamari and the mushroom appetizers were prompt and hot. Really a nice addition to the area for a well appointed and clean dining experience. New owners have done an excellent job of renewing this old landmark building.
Dishes I tried:
Mushroon ans swiss grilled chicken sandwiche
Large juicy chicken breast. Moist and served on an excellent fresh roll with lettuce and tomato Fancy chips and a pickle. Mouth-watering and delicious.
Friend Caalamari
Generous portion of tender lightly breaded calamari with a particularly good mayo based dipping sauce
