5.0I found the Tin Fish by accident when I had to wait for a friend. I had a glass (or two) of Chardonnay on the patio and the Salmon Ceasar Salad. That got my attention. The next time I went there, I had the Clam Chowder and my companions had the Fish Tacos and someone else had the Fish and Chips. Oh Boy!
Then I had relatives visiting from South Africa and they were gung-ho about the food quality. The quality at Tin Fish equals Cape Town – and I’m talking about fussy eaters.
After a few visits, I realized the owner was like “Crocodile Dundee” right here in Mukilteo! Diamond in the rough and witty to a point where you WANT to get to know him. The food is good enough for me, though.
Then, I overheard other customers talk about something that is NOT on the menu: “The Sage Special”. I asked about it and was fortunate to be able to order it: Whoah! Have yourself some wine or beer, kick back (if it’s sunny, pick the patio) and be comfortable knowing that this guy knows his Seafood, the quality and how it should taste. Nothing is overbearing, neither is he. I am getting ready to take a business group over there now that the patio is catching some sun and you can see the Ferries go back and forth on the beautiful water…Thank you Steve – I had a wonderful experience at the Tin Fish
Wonderfully fresh (not rubbery and not overcooked) Salmon on a bed of fresh greens. Crispy croutons and spiralling Parmesan. Yummy.
