Fantastic underground happy hour and margaritas

The location of this underground joint is a bit odd – on the outside you see a big “Twisted Lizard” sign above the windows of a… Starbucks coffee shop. I was really confused until I saw the narrow stairs down to the basement underneath Starbucks.

Being underground, there’s not a lot of light to speak of, but the dim setting helps contribute to the low-key atmosphere of the place.

The food quality wasn’t awesome, but the happy hour deals were great. We ate at 4pm and were stuffed until the next morning!

By the time I got to this I’d lost contact with my tastebuds, but others said it was pretty good. Did I mention margaritas are 1/2 off during happy hour?

Portabello Fundido

Put some portabello chunks on a small plate, cover it with tons of cheese, and microwave. Not so impressive.

At happy hour, only 5 bucks! A tasty combo of assorted semi-southwestern finger foods, including a fundido.

I’m not sure what “blue” is supposed to taste like, but this was pretty good.
