  • Don't circle looking for the valet--free parking is available on the roof, where the restaurant is located. It that fills up, scout out street parking, which is usually available in front of the store.
  • The by-the-glass wine and half bottle list is pretty formidable, with about 10 selections each of sparking, white and red.
  • A popular locale for private parties, the entire space, including audio and video capabilities, can be booked for special events Sunday through Wednesday.

We are pleased to announce that OpenTable has chosen Upstairs2 amongst it winners of the Diners' Choice Awards for the top 50 restaurants with the most notable wine lists in the United States. "The sommeliers at the winning restaurants put as much passion into carefully curating their wine lists as chefs put into their menus," says Caroline Potter, OpenTable's Chief Dining Officer. The Wine House, LA's largest wine store, has created a unique and exciting restaurant and wine bar. There are 40 wines by the glass from around the world. Tapas/small plates will complement the wine selections. The style of food is primarily New American, Chef Todd Barrie, formerly of Joe's Restaurant, will be enhancing the menu with special dishes designed to be paired with the wines being featured. All of this in a relaxing, casual atmosphere on the second floor of The Wine House.

very chill, not snooty at all and the food is...

very chill, not snooty at all and the food is truly worldclass. also, expect not to spend too much money. for 3 of us and some restraint, the bill came to about 80. however, the meal felt like it was worth at least 150. the dates wrapped in serrano ham with parmesan in the middle are HEAVENLY. for sure give this place a shot
