1.0This is one of the biggest disappointments I’ve had this year. After reading quite a few, and very similar, reviews about this place I decided to bring the wife out and try it. We had ordered a large lunch and right from the start I knew there was going to be trouble… the waitress did not return after taking our orders for almost 25 minutes. There were no more than 4 other patrons in the entire restaurant throughout the entire time we were there. When she did come back she explained there was a problem in the kitchen and thanks us for our patience. That’s nice but couldn’t you have checked on us 15 min ago and perhaps refreshed our waters and bread and possible explained the situation. Well she left again and after another 15 minutes out comes the food, only it looks like it has been sitting waiting for us. The meals looked dry and stale, I hazarded a taste of mine and my suspicions were confirmed. I asked to speak to a manager and instead of being apologetic he proceeded to defend the “style” of cooking as one I might not be accustomed to. Well, dear reader I have dined in far more established eateries than this and I can tell you with authority that dry and old sitting under a hot lamp for three quarters of an hour does not qualify as a “style”. I didn’t know it was possible to make duck a l orange look that unappealing but they somehow managed it. After what seemed like an eternity of condescending, incredible statements such as offering to take 5 dollars of a bill that totaled over $115 for what was by anyones estimation a plate of inedible dreck, I promptly announced that I would like to have the check and the number of the owner. In short folks if you want to dine in what is an over glorified food court next to a college by all means believe all the seemingly perfect reviews, on their own website incidentally, and make haste to Ursino. We were certainly taken in by those reviews which I suspect a member of the cooking staff writes instead of getting the meals out in a timely fashion. Caveat Emptor
Looked like a two day old dehydrated TV dinner. Nothing else to say.

02/09/2012I’ve heard the prices there don’t justify the quality. Very nicely illustrated. :)
