Had the chance to eat at the Butler Valley Dairy Restaurant, located in Butler Commons Plaza along New Castle Rd. Restaurant is at street-level, with plenty of parking in the vicinity. Well decorated and illuminated, and very clean. The chain is noted for its sandwich menu and ice cream fountain items, but they offer a full variety menu. Seating in booths or tables for about 100. Our server, Jessica, was excellent. Her friendliness was genuine and she provided top service.
Ordered grilled chicken breast dinner, accompanied by two sides: baked potato and applesauce.
Chilled applesauce came first, with potato dinner roll and beverage. Then came the main meal: two fillets of hot, juicy chicken breast and piping hot baked potato.
Beverage refills provided without having to ask.
Food quality and service greatly improved since my last visit.

The Valley Dairy in Butler has added shredded hash browns to their menu and they are GREAT! Their bacon is also the best served all around! This restaurant is now the ONLY one my family visits for breakfast! This place is normally packed and I can understand why – the food is really, really good and the wait staff are fast and very friendly. My other favorites are the Shredded Pot Roast Dinner, the Cobb Salad, Turkey Club Sandwich and my husband loves the Wings!!!! We visit there about 3-4 times a week!!!! Their menu just gets better and better!!!
Just like home-made! Mashed potatoes actually have flavor and texture. The Pot Roast is moist and well seasoned.
