This former famous Patelli’s Pizza place had withstood the test of time and had a decent owner until recently. Now don’t get me wrong here, hands down still the best pizza you can buy……………IF YOU CAN GET IT !!! The new owner’s have no clue about customer loyalty, normal business hours, let alone stocking their menu items. In my last 8 attempts to secure a pie from this place i have been successful only 3 times due to “closed early”, “closed due to lack of business”, “closed due to workers just wanting to sit at the bar and drink beer”, “closed due to prep work”, “closed early because they are lazy” yada yada yada. Do not believe the stated working hours for them to be open and calling ahead is not a guarantee!!
Ordering an import beer from the menu is like pulling teeth, never in stock even though a distributor is just 1/2 mile away !! (Greens)
Even the staff knows it’s not a well oiled machine and are ashamed at how it’s being run and i can’t blame them. The new owner is more concerned with his cell phone.
The final straw for me was when i wanted to do a call in order(7/2/14) and the employee lied to me about them not having been open on Memorial day after i complained about being denied a pie the last time i made an effort to drive down to their location, fact was i was in there that day and denied a pie because they had not cleared $500 and they shut down early again!! Needless to say he was curt with me on the phone after i caught him in a lie and i hung up. Piss Poor customer relationship !!
I left there that time (Memorial Day) and intercepted another couple attempting to go in and told them “what was up” with the place, we both ended up at Mellow Mushroom !!
Sad to say but this place is not worth the effort anymore or a long distance drive unless you like to experience a “closed door” atmosphere or really are not hungry.
After 35 years of patronage I’ve given up hope this place will survive. I’m looking for a new place……………….
