4.0Had some great coffee this morning—Ethiopian, I think. The barista (Max) was great. Wife had a latte that rivals any other place we’ve been to. Cinnamon rolls were perfect! We’ll have to come back for the wine tasting—looks fun! The only coffee place in Wrightwood.
great espresso! organic and freshly roasted!

5.0In my opinion, the Village Grind is the best restaurant in Wrightwood. While there’s nothing pretentious or fancy about the place, the ambiance is one of “old style” coffee house. Great deck, a wide selection of fine coffees, fast / friendly service and good food at fair prices make this a wonderful place. There’s small art gallery, free wi-fi, and lots of outdoor seating. This is a nice Sunday outing for families and couples. Five stars!
Excellent texture scone, french press from Tanzania

5.0It could just be the mountain air and snow capped mountains, but I think I found the best coffee house in southern California. Organic coffees…organic milk…fresh scones…wireless internet access (free)…I mean, I know it’s just coffee, but the atmosphere of this place (owners are so friendly) is just so relaxing. Some nice art on the wall—-watercolors by local artists I’m told—-really add to the place (plus they’re all for sale—-a bit pricey for me though). French pressing is available on every coffee. The real surprise here was the price…scone and coffee for under $4.00 AND the first refill is FREE (I think it’s a quarter after that!). Also, a nice deck to enjoy the main street of Wrightwood. I give this restaurant five stars!
Fresh, warm chocolate chip scone with organic coffee (Mexico)

5.0Very cool coffee house in Wrightwood! French pressed some ORGANIC coffee from Central America…had a warmcinnamon roll with just the right amount of icing…sat on the deck…heaven! The service was great…the place is clean…even free w-fi ! I enjoy this style of coffee house—-retro without really trying. A great “get away” from the city. Wonder if all Wrightwood restaurants are like this??
Warm, tasty,….just enough icing. Flaky outside, lots of cinnamon…I’d pay double for it!

5.0Spent the weekend in Wrightwood and found this really quaint coffee house. I’ve never been to a coffee house with such a great variety of coffee! They’ll french press any of them, and the cinnamon rolls were better than my mom’s! The staff were giving samples of the chicken salad—-I’ll be getting THAT next time! Love the weekend menu! Nice place, nice people, wonderful views and close to the resort. Can’t wait to go back!
Huge, hot, just enough icing!
