2.0Had reservations for Sat. 11-24-12 at 7:45 pm, 41st Anniversary dinner. We arrived 15 mins early and was greeted with free valet car parking and they were very polite. We were seated within 5 – 10 mins from introductions. We were given a really nice booth. Our waitress introduced her self and was very nice, we ordered drinks and were very satisfied with them. we were given popper rolls and they were very good. We then ordered appetizers which were the Chorizo mussels and the Vintana Wedge. They were what we expected, very good. So, with the experience so far we were very eager to receive our main dish. My wife ordered the Grilled Brochette of Tender loin and shrimp (“rare as you can get it”) and I ordered the Pan Seared Mahi Mahi. When we received our meals we were impressed with the service again. Here’s were it all went south, my wife’s tender loin came very well done and the shrimp were cooked way to long also (very dry and tough), mine came cooked clear through (all white) and flaky, our roated finerling potatos were cooked to where the outer layers were even hard to cut and were very chewy. At that point it was very very disappinting. We should have complained and sent both meals back but we were not wanting to hurt our waitress feelings as she had already had to deal with a disgruntled guest in the next booth to us. His steak was cooked totally wrong also. After our meal our waitress came with a delicious bread putting on the house for our anniversary. We never told her but we would never dine there again. I could have taken my 41 years of marriage bride to Donovan’s for a better meal.
