2.0This review pertains specifically to the Nordstrom location.
I found the atmosphere comfortable. In addition, the chocolates were pretty. My favorite were the solid chocolate bars.
The chocolates are pricey. The coffee is outrageous, going for prices around $4.50 for a small cup.
I used to be a frequent customer, but I no longer patronize this business, because I was turned off by the rude service. Time and again, I deal with workers rushing me as I order and rolling their eyes at me. The worst is the manager. He once talked very patronizingly to me. I complained to the headquarters and was offended I was not paid a dignity of reply.
Their best item.
Not that great. The chief asset is the appearance. They really look sophisticated.

07/29/2008I had a similar experience when I visited this same ethel’s. A group of us sat down on the couch to discuss whether or not we wanted to stay here or go somewhere else when an employee immediately came over and told us that we had to buy something to sit there any longer – of course we left right away. Why does a chocolate lounge need pressure sales tactics?
