5.0The food was amazing! My girlfriend treated me here for my birthday, and I can’t remember the last time I had so many great tasting foods in one meal. To start I had a melon soup; it was only $10, and was worth about $15-$20. Great and simple dish. Next I had a pork belly. That too was awsome; it came with seard scallops, and they go hand in hand. Wasn’t as good (still excellent) as the melon soup, but for $23, can’t complain. And finally, I had a poached peach. Didn’t know that desserts were allowed to taste so good. The overall experiance was so good that it should be illegal! I hope we can go to more restaurants as good as this one!

5.0West is one of the best in Vancouver. The restaurant is a mix of French and Westcoast cuisine. Excellent food and service, and extensive wine list as well. Get there early before 6pm) to enjoy their three course Prix Fixe for $45.

5.0West is always the best! I went there twice, once on a customized tasting menu with wine pairing and once on their early prix fix. And they were both excellent meals! One little note, I think they serve the best BUTTER in town. (attentive to details)

5.0Another great restaurant where the food presentation is amazing. The servings are just right, the wine pairing is great, and the service and atmosphere are excellent. Along with Lumiere and Cin Cin, these restaurants should be definite stops while in Vancouver if you have the inkling to spend a fair bit of money on food!

5.0One of my FAVE restaurants in Vancouver. If you enjoy balance of clean fresh flavors and good hearty portions this is the place for you. The wall of wines and a fantastic dessert menu doesn’t hurt. :)

5.0It seems every place is offering brunch. West Restaurant added Sunday brunch recently and I’m glad they did. The food is amazing. It’s also expensive but well worth the price.
Without a doubt you need to start thing off with a drink. There are a few varieties available just for brunch. A good mimosa definitely hits the spot with grand mariner, fresh squeezed orange juice and sparkling wine. I love the Passionfruit Coconut Cream Fizzle. It’s made with house made passionfruit vanilla liqueur, tanqueray gin, fresh lemon and coconut cream float. There are non-alcohol cocktails for those that don’t want the buzz such as spiced pear nectar and passionfruit.
Brunch have a few great selections. I love the crab benedict made with Dungness crab, poached eggs, grapefruit, buttermilk biscuits and hollandaise. Simple mushrooms and eggs take on a different spin. Orangic mushrooms are used complete with fried eggs, brioche and madeira jus. Ordering a side of crispy pork belly is always a must. It has so much flavour and great texture.
West Restaurant is such a classy and clean place. Eating at this contemporary restaurant will make the experience so much better.

05/30/2012without a doubt, I’ll never (in this lifetime) get to B/C from central Florida USA, but it is a pleasure to read this review (and others on the website) almost like “being there.” can almost taste the treasures!
