I heart Westville. The brunch is the best deal ever, and the market sides are always creative, healthy and fresh.
It’s a small place – not group-friendly. The vibe is relaxed and homey, and the service has always been great.

This place is awesome. They have huge hot dogs. My friend dragged me to this place and I was a little reluctant to try it as it’s kind of a hole in the wall, literally. It’s a teeny tiny place, but it really is inexpensive, the service is fast, and the food is quite tasty. Big bang for your buck. I took away one star because there was a dead (water)bug on the floor at the entrance the last time I went.

210 W 10th St (West Village). Inexpensive, small, crowded, excellent excellent American food. Amazing turkey, veg, and meat burger, corn on the cob (with cumin lime and cojita cheese), 20 different kinds of “market vegetables” each night. Fennel parmesan is best. Crab cakes are good. The Homemade Oreo cookie is fun. Lunch would be great here, too. FOR DINNER OR LUNCH. Brunch seems a bit over-rated especially with nearby gems like Jane, Sant’Ambroeues nearby.
