If you like hot asian buns, then take a break from shopping and stop by Wow Bao in the lobby of Water Tower Place. The different flavor steamed buns are tasty and make a reasonably priced snack. The drinks are good, but seemed a little pricey (but they did have a Coca-Cola dispenser with it written in Chinese! check out the pics).

Since it is a takeout counter if you want to sit and eat you need to take your food up a floor to the designated Wow Bao seating area.

after all the fuss over wow bao, i finally got a chance to check it out while shopping along the mag mile. located right near macy’s entrance, wow bao suprised me with its small, yet substantial hot asian buns. the line moves fast, and service is friendly.

You’d expect nothing less than a strong effort from a huge player like Lettuce Entertain You, and that holds true here – there’s a certain curbside appeal to the Wow Bao stand tucked in the corner of this mall.

Service is super-fast, as all the buns are already ready to go thanks to the constantly running steamers. Seating is upstairs and just a bunch of tables in the middle of a open floor – ditch that and go sit outside on a warm day instead. You’ll get attentions from passerbys for your culinary variety, and enjoying the flavorful buns will be that much more rewarding.
