I live in the neighborhood and head for Yanni’s at least once a week. The service is always exceptionally friendly, and the food is always phenomenal! The Chicken Skaras is just wonderful, nicely flavored and juicy. The potatoes that come with the dish have a terrific lemony flavor to them ~ indescribable, but I always look forward to them! Their chicken, lemon and rice soup is one of my stand-bys, I always enjoy the fresh flavors. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

11/14/07: UPDATE: Yanni’s still rates five stars in my book. We noticed with recent take-out orders that the amazing lemony potatoes mentioned previously were being replaced by rice. RICE???? That’s like replacing a Bentley with a Pinto! Heinous. So, when we ordered last night from Yanni’s we specifically asked for the potatoes and were told that they’d recently changed out the potatoes for rice, but that if you ask for the potatoes they will give them to you. We were astounded and relayed this to our friendly Yanni’s staffer; she mentioned that Yanni’s had been seeing so many potatoes left on plates that they determined that nobody liked the potatoes. Bunch of loonies, not liking the potatoes. We told her that one of the reasons we kept coming back to Yanni’s was expressly for the potatoes. So the moral of the story, go for the potatoes and make sure you ask for them! Otherwise you’ll get plain old boring rice.
