Across from the historic New Haven Green, ZINC offers an innovative farm-to-table menu that celebrates the surrounding community. Sustainable food has been the focus of ZINC since opening its doors twelve years ago. almost like you're NOT in New Haven!

Zinc is a Modern American restaurant in downtown New Haven. New Haven isn’t exactly known for it’s culinary cuisine, so this restaurant was a pleasant surprise for me. I was invited to go here – else I probably wouldn’t have known about it.

The interior is elegant and there seemed to be a lot of business types and people in their 30s and 40s in the restaurant.

The food was excellent – I had a hard time deciding from several great dishes. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food, and I have to say the service was definitely better than average. They had a good choice of wines and desserts as well.

Overall, a classy place to have a nice dinner in New Haven. Many companies recruiting on campus have business dinners here, so that’s always a good sign!

Scallops with Lobster Risotto

Delicious! I was looking forward to the scallops but I think the risotto was just as good if not better! Tasty pieces of lobster mixed into a creamy and delicious risotta…and you get 4 large scallops which were smokey tasting and very fresh.

Zinc

Zinc is a very trendy lounge that packs in crowds of beautiful people. It is hip and happening and the place to be seen. The drinks are a bit pricey, but they aren't ever watery. The decor is very tasteful and fun at the same time.

Has anyone heard of seasoning?
