I have tried Chinese BBQ all along the west...
I have tried Chinese BBQ all along the west coast. Kau Kau has the most consistant and tasty Cha Sui I have tried, second only to Vancouver BC.
Their BBQ Duck is to die for. Yes, a greasy hanging dripping bird but the taste is a great balance of crispy, meaty and that ducky taste.
The Roast Pig is the best within 15 mins of buying it. The crispy skin crackles when you bite into it.. The only downside is after 20 mins that chrispy texture softens to an everyday roast pig.
This is a typical “greasy spoon” kinda place. try walking by the kitchen door. Not for the faint hearted calorie counter, just for the dedicated eater of BBQ, asian style. Take out line can be out the door on a saturday just b4 11 am.
and yes, they meet the 80/20 mix..
Dishes I tried:
Roast Duck
Just buy it, have them cut it up in bite size pieces and enjoy.
