This is my least favorite of the vegan and vegetarian options in the East Village. I prefer Caravan of Dreams on 6th or Kate’s on Ave. B

I love this place. I get the flour pancake wrap with tofu, pickled porcini mushroom, white kimchi, sprouted beans, azuki beans and rice.
sounds bland; tastes outrageous.

The blood orange salad with proscuitto is divine, as is the grafton mac and cheese and sticky toffee pudding.
One of my favorite places, with a stellar wine list to boot.

I could eat here everyday. The Casanova piadina in particular is outstanding, but you really can’t go wrong with anything in this tiny little sandwich shop.

Yes, the service may be forever slow but that is part of the charm at this quaint and simply decorated pastry shop that serves arguably the best croissants and coffee south of 14th street.
