Souvenirs De Bangkok

Thai-licious!

Very inexpensive Thai food in the heart of downtown but impressive selection. This restaurant has delicious substantial portions which are also quite affordable. They have dinners for 2 people for $19.99, and dinner specials ranging from $10-$13.

Place does not look like much, but the food is very savoury!

Affordable and tasty…bring your own wine!

I’ve never had a dish there I didn’t like…and I’ve tried lots of them. Hard to say which dish is my favorite: the lemongrass chicken, the chicken or beef in green curry and coconut milk, or the peanut chicken with spinach? It’s allllllllllllllllll good!

What I ate:

With this dinner special (from 5-7 PM, add $1 after 7) you get a soup, imperial rolls, rice, with Lemongrass Chicken AND shrimps for $10.50!

Restaurant Mythos Ouzeri Estiatorio

OPA! Feast Like The Greeks!

Most authentic Greek food in town….where all the Greeks in town go for fine dining!

Bonus: Live band plays Greek music downstairs and everyone gets up to dance like Zorba The Greek! OPA!!

I would highly recommend the Lamb Stew (Arnaki Gastras Galaktos Quebec), if you like lamb.
This lamb dish is the tenderest lamb I have ever tasted in town!

We ordered the Group A menu…it was a ton of food & all very tasty!

It seemed like the food never stopped coming…and it was all so delicious!

I loved the fried squid and the grilled squid in the starters. The lamb stew was a taste of heaven!

Bayou Brazil

Jul 16, 2007 Link

Viva Brazil!

Bayou Brazil is my favorite Brazilian resto in town.

If you’re very daring…try the Alligator!
Quite an original taste (no it does not taste like chicken). Kind of a gamey texture to it & is served in a very savoury sauce.

I am also a big fan of their Jambalaya:
a tasty mix of seafood, rice, chicken, sausage, and yummy veggies.

Lots of food…the courses seem to keep coming.

Great service in the resto, as well. The waiters are always coming around to fill your water glasses and see if you need anything else. A nice family-run resto, with lots of green plants hanging overhead and soft bossanova music playing through-out.

Zenya

Zenfully delightful experience

Zenya is a gorgeous Japanese restaurant hidden away in plain-sight in the heart of downtown Montreal.

The inside of this huge resto looks like a vast bamboo garden, with subtle lighting and beautiful artistic touches through -out.

As for the food? It does not disappoint…in fact it delights the senses…sublime savoury delights with a lovely presentation. The sushi is the freshest possible and the other dishes are tasty as well.

The service was most excellent. Our waiter suggested an excellant Pinot Grigio that went well with our meal.
