Overpriced and just okay

I was surprised that for a Greek restaurant that they offered things like Spaghetti & Meatballs and Chicken Parm.

I went with 4 friends and we all got items off their $9.95 value menu. I had the rolled sole w/ roast potatoes and green beans. The fish was dry but the potatoes were great. I got a total of 5 green beans.

One friend had the fried clams and said they were just okay.

Another had the lamb in sauce. She liked the lamb but thought the sauce tasted odd.

The last friend had Chicken Parm. The breaded chicken was a bit tough and the tomato sauce was disgusting. I guess Greek restaurants shouldn’t do Italian.

I ordered a mixed drink. It wasn’t large; maybe 6 or 7 ounces and cost (are you ready for this) $10.00 for one drink. That’s highway robbery.

The atmosphere was nice and the waitress great; but because of the food and drink prices, I wouldn’t go back.

Beware

I’ve had food from Three Gorges twice. The first time I got lo mein that was full of oil. The second time I ended up with food poisoning. I’ve had friends who got fried rice with bugs in it. The town health dept. shuts them down frequently. This is a restaurant to avoid .

BBQ at it's finest

Great food. Great service. My favorite is their Pulled Pork Platter with garlic mashed potatoes. Washed down with their special Long Beach Ice Tea. They have a condiments bar where you get get beet, pickles, peppers and other assorted snacks along with their various bbq sauces. When they first come to the table, they bring a small bowl of pickled cucumbers that are to die for.

They have a great selection of appetizers and a fantatic buffet brunch on Sunday’s.

The only thing I wish they had was soups and more salads to choose from.

An undiscovered jewel

Went for breakfast on Sunday morning. I had two chocolate chip pancakes that were go big I couldn’t finish them. Also had sausage, which was just okay, and great home fries.

My father and brother had the omelet special; italian sausage & ricotta cheese topped with sauce. They said it was fantastic.

There is seldom a long wait and the food is great. We’ve only had breakfast there so far.

What did you say?

The restaurant was nicely decorated but very loud. So loud that it was nearly impossible to talk to the person sitting next to me.

Their foccia bread was fantatic. I would have been thrilled if that was all I had for lunch. I had a basic salad with greens that was very good but lacking dressing.

My main lunch meal was the Petti de Pollo; boneless chicken breast in lemon & olive oil with roast potatoes and broccoli. The pototoes and broccoli were okay. The chicken was disgusting. I don’t know where the lemon and olive oil went. Maybe to Olive Garden for lunch. The chicken was butterfly sliced very thin then they grilled the hell out of it. It was dry, rubbery and flavorless.

Stick with a salad and foccio bread. You’ll be much happier.

Dried out, overly cooked chicken breast that was missing the advertised lemon & olive oil sauce.

Less than plentiful buffet

We went for the buffet and I wasn’t impressed. It was small and the selection was limited. For the selection they did have, the pans of food were full and some seemed like they’d been sitting around for quite a while. The food was okay, not great. I woud have expected better for $14.95 a person.
