Dishes I tried:
2. Samosa Chaat
Probably the best thing on the menu. These are to die for – a regular samosa covered in a creamy and spicy sauce. The samosas are great in themselves, but add this sauce and they become almost literally addictive. I defy anyone not to like these.
10. Chicken Tikka
Although it’s on the menu as an appetizer, this dish is easily big enough to rate as a meal, and it’s very good indeed. I think this is probably my second favourite ‘entree’ after the malai kofta. The sauce is wonderful.
49. Malia Kofta
For me this is the best entree on the menu: vegetarian dumplings in a creamy and mildly spicy sauce. I could eat this all day.
85. Kheer
I’m not a big fan of cold desserts (or desserts in general), but the kheer at India’s Finest is great – the rice is very subtly spiced and it just melts in your mouth.

Good home style cooking
I’ve never had a meal here that wasn’t good and filling. They offer home-style meals cooked at a fast food pace. They will cook virtually anything you want any way you want it. Breakfast here is especially good and they often have a line waiting to be served, but the line moves fast because the guys cooking the food are about the fastest cooks I’ve ever seen. The only criticism I have is that, presumably due to the demand for food at a fast pace, their home fries and roasted potatoes are sometimes a little undercooked.

Good neighborhood pub/restaurant
Harringtons is an English style restaurant/pub with a great atmosphere and food that is a little more upscale than standard pub/restaurant meals. I’ve literally never had food here that I didn’t like and I really don’t have any criticisms. The restaurant itself is small but the booths are quite roomy. The decor is very English or Irish, with dark wood panelling and I’d say this restaurant would be well suited to a casual business meeting, a casual date or family dining. The bar area is not intrusive and is very clean indeed.

Breakfast place with one key flaw
Omelette Headquarters is a family breakfast restaurant in a building that used to be a train station. The decor is nothing to write home about – it’s just 50s style diner tables in a room that has about as much ambience as the average office building. They serve good omelettes, and I could forgive the bad decor if all their food was as good. Sadly I’m a big fan of home fried potatoes and I’ve never had a meal here with properly cooked home fries. They are always significantly undercooked. In the end I stopped going to Omelette Headquarters because of this issue. It’s a pity because if it wasn’t for this problem the rest of the food is both good and filling.

Muffin store a cut above
This is a great muffin place. They have a gingerbread muffin that’s out of this world. Wakefield has a lot of good food places and this is one not to be missed. The only problems are the line out the door and the fact that they close at 6pm.
Dishes I tried:
Gingerbread muffin
Probably the best muffin I’ve ever tasted – has to be tasted to be believed. Once you’ve had the gingerbread muffin here nothing else quite does the trick.
