Yuck

I will only eat here if I have an absolute craving for something sushi-like and this was the only place open in the vicinity. Can’t talk about the apps. But, the sushi is seriously not good. The menu makes it out to be so much more than what you are dealt.

So good!

Friends took me here for my birthday and it was amazing! The food is soooooo good. The drinks were good too. I’ve never had that cuisine before. For my apps I had the buttermilk biscuits w/ ham and marmalade….mmmm. For my entree I had the rib-eye….mmmm. Our server was extremely attentive and very friendly. The desserts are also to die for. Price is just right and what you’d expect to pay at a place like this.

Go here but you need to make a reservation. The night before Quincy Jones and posse were there getting their grub on too!

Sigh

Crazy overpriced. I am a sushi freak (don’t you even try and order california roll when you dine with me). The menu left me severely disappointed and wishing that Sansei, from back home in Maui, would open up shop here.

Yummmm

Okay, so I’m lactose intolerant. Finding an italian restaurant that I can eat at where I don’t have to eat the same boring pasta (hold the cheese!) is a pain. But, this place is a God send. I love love it. Crowded. Loud. But, who cares. The food makes up for it. Not every damn thing is smothered in cheese. Plus, having friends who can always get in without having to make a reservation is a cute little bonus! =)

Finally

I love the food of my culture. This place is such a breath of fresh air. Decor is nice, full of history and just the right amount. The food is great. Just like nana made but with a twist. The food and the plating is inventive and is not like you’re eating at the local Goldilocks (if you know what I mean). I was very very proud of my “peeps” when hearing that the Non-Filipinos around me were extremely satisfied with their meal. Food is good enough to cater to those who haven’t had it before and satisfies those who have been around it all their life. The prices are very affordable and the menu is extensive. The staff are very friendly and always smiling. It’s unfortunate that Filipino food is not as popular as other ethnic food. But, I believe this restaurant will help to turn things around and hopefully encourage others to change the face of Filipino food by opening up more “upscale” Filipino restaurants.
