The sauteed mussels were excellent- esepcially the sauce they came in. Their cioppino is also fantastic; the only downside is that they’re pretty pricey, and while they do have complimentary bread (to soak up the mussel sauce) they don’t have a complimentary salad. The service is excellent, the decor is quaint, and you also get a nice little view of the Monterey Bay.

This place is dirt cheap, kinda grimey, and has great Mexican food. Ok, so the prices have gone up a bit over the years, but they’ve still got great deals. All in all, when you’re craving carne asada burritos or carne asada fries, this is a great place to head to. They do suck at giving correct change though; don’t worry about it, you’ll live without that extra nickel or dime.

The food here is fantastic; the jambalaya I had here was the best I’ve had so far (in CA). It’s a big shame though that the service tends to be slow and lousy. The prices are rather expensive, though it’s not absolutely terrible for a nicer restaurant in downtown Berkeley

This is a great deli on the north side of UC Berkeley and far superior to those on the south and west sides of campus. There’s usually a line out the door during lunch, but it’s worth it. The sandwiches are nice and large, and the service is awesome. The staff there is extremely friendly and they’ll very quickly start to remember what you commonly order. The food is of course made fresh in front of you. The salads are also fantastic; they’ve got a great raspberry vinaigrette to go along with those. The stuffedwich (filled with roast beef, ham, and turkey) and the tuna sandwich are my faves here.

This is probably the most overrated place in all of Berkeley. The salads are large yes, but they’re not particularly good in any way. The soups I’ve had here have been pretty mediocre. I’m not particularly fond of the sandwiches here either; Togo’s and Quizno’s do a much better job. Better yet, go over to Stuffed Inn on the north side. I’ve given this place 3 chances, and it’s just disappointed every time…especially the time they gave me 10 dollars less in change.

This is just another overrated overrated Telegraph Ave. restaurant. For the prices, the portions aren’t too great and the quality of the food is pretty mediocre. You’re better off going to the Asian Ghetto.

Altogether, this place has pretty darn good Mexican food. It’s an actual sit-down place, and the decor is well done. It’s fun and relaxed- a great place to go for dinner after a Cal victory at Memorial Stadium. The portions are large, and the prices are reasonable, so it’s definitely worth a try!

The interior is absolutely beautiful with its waterfall wall and red cloth draping down from the ceiling to give your table a nice sense of privacy. The food is good, but it’s pricey (expensive and asian food shouldn’t go together). However, for a nicer occasion, this is definitely a good spot to hit up.

The best thing about this place is the really swanky atmosphere. The food is pretty good, albeit a bit pricey (for Thai food that is). For an SF restaurant though, I can’t really complain that much about the prices.

It’s 20 something dollars for all you can eat, so it’s fairly pricey. This is an asian buffet place, so I’m not even gonna bother with atmosphere or service, yadda yadda, but is definitely a good variety of tasty meats to grill up (you handle the grilling yourself on your table). It’s pretty fun and would be great for a group of friends, it’s just that high price that’s so darn annoying.
