My friend insisted on going to Hollywood’s Bakery for lunch one afternoon, bragging about how their panini’s were amazing. Personally, I love Panera Bread and am quite partial and terrified that my panini will be burned (because that’s my luck); however, I gave in and we went. I was amazed at how friendly these people were, but I guess that’s normal, as my experience has shown. While they didn’t have a HUGE gourmet panini selection, I did like that you could choose your ingredients and have them make one up for you. Rather than going all out, I got just ham and cheddar with tomato and their “special sauce.” It was delicious and they didn’t over-press it at all…perfect! I’d love to know what their sauce is, but I guess it’s a secret. Their macaroni salad is delicious as well- not too much mayo. You should also try their greater than sex cake- because it’s absolutely amazing.
