Fine dining at it’s best. I forgot to tell them to hold the mayo when I ordered at the drive-thru. He told me to park on the side and he re-made my burger, sans mayo, and delivered it to my car without any attitude. I was so happy I gave him a tip. Why not? It’s the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

The flaming cheese was excellent, and so was the flatbread with pear and gorgonzola on top. The bread was also delicious. Had the lamb chops, with came with french fries and vegetables on the side. The fries and chops lacked the full flavor of the earlier appetizers, but the veggies were seasoned well. The Greek donuts with honey and walnuts for dessert was good, but next time I’d opt for the cheesecake or creme brulee instead.

I am totally addicted to the “BBQ chicken” and “fried chicken” here, as well as the pasta. The tofu scramble is also quite tasty. I’m not a big fan of the big steamed bun, as I find it a bit dry. The chocolate peanut butter tofu pie is pretty good. They serve huge portions here for a good price. Depending on who is working, the service is either really good or really bad.

This place has been around for years — I remember going over 10 years ago and this is probably my first time back. The food is good, but it’s rather pricey, and I’ve had better, cheaper food elsewhere. Tonight I had the mackerel nigiri, yellowtail & green onion maki, uni nigiri, and flying fish roe nigiri. Nothing was particularly outstanding.

I always forget about this place since it is tucked away off of Castro and I can never find it. But this week I made it there and had the bento box dinner. It’s a great deal — I think it was $14 before tax and tip, and you get: a miso soup with excellent tofu, salad, several pieces of generously sized salmon sashimi, a bowl of rice, and beef sukiyaki. I’ve had better beef sukiyaki elsewhere, in which “better” to me means more vegetables, and a wider variety of vegetables. So it’s not the optimal sukiyaki to me, but it’s still delicious and filling. So for the price and quantity of food, this place rocks, in fact the bento box lasted me for 2 meals. And don’t forget the gummi bears at the door.

The flavors are Indian, but this is not Indian food. The Tandoori tasted more like Teriyaki and I was too scared to try my companion’s thali plate, except for the naan. The naan was nice and fluffy, so that was good. The papadum was good as well, but I doubt it was even made on-site. I’m never eating here again!

I had the pumpkin pancakes, chicken apple sausage, and eggs. Everything was really good, and presented well. The eggs were a tad overcooked (for my taste) and the sausage got a little dried out, but it was still super tasty. It seemed a bit over-priced. Extra props to the waitress that organized the teabags in rainbow color order.

This place sucks! I have gone back several times, trying to give it a chance, but it gets worse every time. My cooking sucks and even I can make better steamed dumplings. The noodles are too greasy and the tasteless meats are masked in hot sauce. I can hardly swallow the food. The won ton soup is the only decent thing I’ve tried. Also the waiter I had yesterday was really creepy. I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there. Panda Express is a welcome culinary delight after eating here.
