Food Allergies BEWARE
This resturant nearly killed me….I have food allergies and I ordered a dish, I read the menu description carefully and inspected my meal carefully before eating for nuts. Turns out they had ground cashews up into the sauce! To think in this day in age a resturant would not list such a highly allergenic food on the menu description…I now ask every time about every part of my meal, but it is common knowledge that if a highly allergenic food is in a dish (Especially ground up and invisible to the eye in a sauce) that it should be written clearly in a menu description

The best take out around
I have probably tried nealy every item this resturant offers and have not once been disapponted. They make THE best hot and sour soup, it is well priced even though they dont skimp on the pricier ingredients (such as the wood ear mushroom in the hot and sour) My second favorite menu item is the Curry Chicken (The chef is kind enough to replace the chicken with tofu for me as I dont eat meat) Most curry chicken the spice buries the subtle sweet duskiness of curry however at Panda this is not the case! The shrimp toast is also outstanding, whatever you’re favorite dish, the Panda is sure to make it wonderfully!

Hot and Sour Soup
Chock full of Bean Curd Wood Ear mushroom and veggies
Shrimp Toast
Crunchy, thick and full of Shirmp
Crab Rangoons
Light airy crisp shell creamy flavorful filling
Wonton Egg Drop Mixed Soup
A perfect blend of flavors and the wontons are never skimpy on filling!

Enough appitizers for the whole family, each one tastier than the next!

Good homemade tastes
I go to their Springdale location. The soups salads and Entrees are Delicious. Everything at Ladles is made from scratch….from the soups to the balsamic dressing, to their ravioli, and tall strong drinks

Ravioli
a homemade noodle Stuffed with delicious filling, and topped any way you like it!
Balsamic Vinigerete Dressing
Since when can a vinagrette actually be so well blended its almost creamy??? Since now! You can tell the quality of the ingredients used in this house dressing are of the highest
Cream of Mushroom Soup
FORGET everything you think you know about Cream of mushroom soup…and say goodbye to limp slimey mushrooms…only big hunks of delicious fresh mushroom are put into their decadant rich cream base….Flavor like this can not be condensed!

The best Japanese in Pittsburgh...PERIOD
Everything about Sawa is top of the line, from the preperation of the food on the hibachi, to the selection and quality of their sushi, their large selection of sake and other traditional japanese beverages to a choice of several yummy deserts!
Dishes I tried:
Dinner Salad
This comes free with your dinner, the ginger dressing made by the folks at Sawa is unlike any other youve ever tried! Creamy and tangy….i believe it also sold in a take home size!
Teryaki Beef
Searved with soup and atop a large bed of crisp cooked veggies their teryaki sauce isnt over powering, allowing the delicious flavors of their high quality beef and veggies to shine thru
Edamame
The perfect start to dinner, my whole party enjoyed the crunchy nutrient rich edamame!
Sushi
A huge Variaty of Sushi, Sashimi, and Maki, you could come every day and try something new every day for a year! My favorites? Tobiko, East roll, and Spicy Tuna
Hibachi Steak
Cooked perfect to order….put everything you know about steak aside, This steak is trimmed to perfection by the hands of a skilled chef and cooked to you’re liking, Searved with soup salad rice and veggies as are all hibachi meals, and never a skimpy plate!
Hibachi Scallops
Large beautiful white scallops are cooked to the perfect doneness, the flavors will astound you and the scallops melt in you’re mouth!
Hibachi Chicken
Different than any other hibachi chicken I have had, there isnt a bit of fat or grissel and it is perfectly seasoned
Yum Yum Sauce
The pink creamy sauce the chef will give you with you’re hibachi dinner is to DIE for….you will leave wishing you had bought a bottle of this stuff so you could drink it on the way home! LOL! (which By chance I believe they do sell it to go)

Tastes good but shady
Of course their pizza is well known in the pittsburgh area…But I have talked to several people who get sick everytime they eat there…Turns out they put Lard in their crust and it isnt disclosed on the menu for people who are vegetarians, thats pretty shady….If a person spends their whole life eating no meat and are introduced to something like this they become violently ill, not a good business practice in this day in age!
