An ideal place to while away a sunny summer afternoon, the back porch at Lula features the attentions of Rafael, a margarita master and all-around great guy. Try the diet-busting plato de botana for a good sampling of the appetizers, or the Lula sampler entree – but I usually make a beeline for the lobster enchiladas.

A landmark sushi restaurant – we are getting into the habit of eating there every Friday night and have yet to be disappointed. Sit at the bar for the most fun and flavor. It’s not a fancy joint – it’s loud and crowded and they play classic rock – but it’s a load of fun and the sushi itself is wonderful.

Flawless, impeccable fine dining. This is our go-to restaurant for any special meal. Everything on the menu is outstanding, including the venison and the sturgeon, but the specials are usually – well, very special. The pastry chef is a genius and we are always easily convinced to try the special dessert due to her miraculous way with pie crust.
