Zikrayet Lebanese Restaurant hopeless
This place definitely needs a lot of improvement! The waitress was ok however she did not know the menu or about Lebanese food. The bread came out with no hommus, which is a traditional Lebanese side with the bread. I asked for harissa (spicy hot side), they gave me thousand island dressing with black pepper and called it harissa. When I told the waitress that that was not harissa, she told me she would ask the cook. She came out later with what looked like tomato paste. I told her that that wasn’t harissa either and she told me she would be back. When she came back, she told me that what she gave me was a different version of harissa (bull s***!). I wanted the catch of the day and was told there was no fish at all. I settled for the shrimp kabob which came out burned not grilled and the shrimp was not deveined (disgusting). The rice tasted like it had been cooked three days prior and reheated. The vegetables on the kabob was burned so badly I couldn’t recognize the green pepper from the tomato. I had to constantly ask for my water to be refilled by the busboy who took all our silverware away after we had our appetizers. We didn’t get new ones till our entree came and we couldn’t eat. The waitress was totally oblivious. If you’ve eaten at the Lebanese Taverna, which I have, I suggest whenever you’re in the mood or craving Lebanese cooking, stick to the Lebanese Taverna. Zikrayet is lower than mediocre. It’s overpriced and the food reminds me fast food restaurants that cook the food a week prior and reheat it to save money.
