Sumptuous Wedding Rehersal
This was the restaurant that hosted and catered my friends’ wedding rehearsal dinner. It was marvelous!
The Steak Diane is melt in your mouth, their Wood Grilled Chicken wrapped in bacon is divine. Go, eat, make your mouth very happy.
Dishes I tried:
Wood Grilled Chicken
The remoulade sauce is spicy perfection.
Steak Diane
It was perfectly medium rare, which can be hard with medallion-sized meat.

Isuck
I used to go to this IHOP all the time, in fact a large group of friends used to meetup here every Tuesday night. It was never stellar service or food, but after a few months things really started to slide downhill. Service was never good, employee turnover was obviously high, management was uncaring at best, and the worse of all were the visible pests crawling through the dinning room. ick!
I have heard that they closed down this store for awhile, for refurbishing. There are rumors management was changed again at that time. But I don’t really feel like going and giving this place another try. I will hit up the Bricktown IHOP if I really have to have some Harvest Grain & Nut Pancakes.

Iggy's - Best Place for a Hot Dog
You see, I’m addicted…addicted to Chicago Dogs. I love Chi-town dogs. Everything about them. You add in an order of good fries, and you’ve got me as a customer for life.
To me Iggy’s is awesome for this alone, but does my love end there? No, no, no. They also have amazing Philly Cheesesteaks, and Baklava, and Gyros, and really good fries.
Iggy and his mother run a great place, and they have a customer for life in me.

Slow But Exceptional
We keep odd hours, and so we typically end up at a restaurant during the post-lunch and pre-dinner lull. It’s led to some disasters in dinning. La Baguette Bistro was in one small way no exception to that rule, when we walked in no one seated us, the waiter looked right at us and then proceeded to ignore us for a good ten minutes. When a bartender overheard us grumbling, he stepped up and took our drink order.
When our waiter did take notice of us, he was an excellant server. We had no more complaints of La Baguette for the rest of our stay.
The food, wow. Exceptional French cuisine. The menu has a really good range of dishes at every price level too. from cheaper sandwiches, quiche, pasta, and salads; to main dishes of upper moderate price.
To start we had the Smoked Salmon, carpaccio style. It was served up beautifully with lemon oil, lemon zest, capers and toasted bites of baguette. For main courses, I had the Quiche Florintine, which came with nice side salad and the house dijon vinegrette; and my husband had the Beouf Fromage sandwich, an open faced affair with a side of their silky, buttery cream of asparagus soup. For dessert we both shared some Panna Cotta with a strawberry sauce and sliced strawberries. Hands down the best panna cotta I’ve ever had. But I expected nothing less from La Baguette, as they are renown as the place for desserts.
While La Baguette is not a place to go if you’re on a tight budget, I would urge to save up your food dollars and go there if you are budgeting. Plan on spending at least $50 for two people, more if it’s a special occasion. ;)
Dishes I tried:
Panna Cotta with Strawberries
Silky smooth, creamy, just sweet enough, and graced with an appropriate amount of strawberry puree and sliced fresh strawberries.
