Orange Chicken was brown sugar sauce -so sweet & horrible!
I am not sure I would give this restaurant a star at all. I was so disappointed in the orange chicken. We actually spit it out. It is made with so much brown sugar and no orange. It is sugar coated and tasted like they put a brown sauce on it for looks. I called the manager and he said he has been in business 20 years and everyone loves it. He yelled at me. I ordered orange chicken, beef friend rice and wonton soup all for $25. I wanted my money credited back for the orange chicken and he was yelling at me. Raymond is the manager and he said he would have to pick it up. I left it for his driver who came to my door and then didn’t take it. I called back and he said it was my problem. I told him the reason for this call is because I DID NOT LIKE THE ORANGE CHICKEN which was brown sugar coated with brown sauce. I am the consumer paying for the meal. At least, that is what I thought. He said, sure you didn’t eat it. Then he said, he cannot send someone out again. I showed the guy where the food was and he purposely left it so the manager did not have to credit me. ORANGE CHICKEN made by a manager like this….can you image what is in the other foods?
Dishes I tried:
Orange chicken
Brown sugar base with more sugar and brown sauce….could not eat because it ‘oozed’ with sugar and was so coated that it had nothing orange in it! worst ever ate anywhere

Sushii in St Charles - Sushi Yama has difficulties
If you a are a consistent sushi or sashimi lover, this is not the restaurant for you. The appetizer was messy with mayonaise to cover the taste of tuna slices and my sashimi was 1/4 of normal restaurants. Our california roll had five small rolls and we were still hungry at the end of our meal. The owner asked me how to make the sashimi larger or the rolls larger with the seaweed and I said I did not know. I am not a sushi chef. Very dissappointing for a local sushi place.
I would try another but have noticed that sushi in the St.Charles area is cut to small portions for pricing and not the customer.
Dishes I tried:
california roll, 4 orders of sashimi (2 each), tuna appetizer
small five rolls, sashimi are ‘pieces’.

Worst IHOP in state, region and nation overall
IHOP has a reputation throughout St Charles and surrounding cities as ‘the worst’. Beware if you enter, the hostess may end up in the kitchen working, the waitress will apologize because she will never see you and then if you think the orders are according to the menu, you are wrong. They are set up with whoever is working in the kitchen. This is almost not an opinion but a fact.
The line staff are not educated or trained, the cooks in the kitchen don’t know the menu and forget if you want some organization to your order like drinks and order first and then food.
Three different houses in the area said they have tried at least twice and third times were charms to NEVER go back. The franchise doesn’t know the bad name they are giving this IHOP! Shame on the cheap owner not to train and keep good people and educate them on what to do.
Dishes I tried:
Big Country Breakfast
We received 12 pieces of bacon on one plate with no eggs and the girl apologized because they forgot what they ordered in the back; Eggs came later cold.

Exceptional Traditiona Irish Pub with Great Food experience
You will be surprised to see the truly traditional Irish menu with traditional ciders and more at this pub. They have breakfast on weekends and I can say that this is an upscale food menu for any Irish pub with that great pub/bar experience attached. You can get the Irish cider, Scottish egg or salmon blt. What a treat! Truly a great menu with good people. If you are driving through St.Charles on north avenue downtown, stop in to get lunch or appetizer. We stopped to see and loved our experience and we have been to Ireland. Not just a pub a restaurant experience
Dishes I tried:
Salmon BLT
excellent- we asked to add one item with no problem. What a great sandwich
Scottish Egg
Menu ofered some wonderful traditional items like this and I wasn’t dissappointed. Great food and atmosphere.
