New Look, but still great Sushi for the price!
This is a great place walking distance from home or a quick drive from work for lunch. They have a great lunch combo special which will get you more food than your stomach can probably handle. In the past year the restaurant got a huge face lift that makes it a bit snazzier and the huge flat screen doesn’t hurt. Parking in their lot is limited, but there is plenty of street space. No Delivery but you can put an order in for pick up!

Too yummy...not a place for the healthy eater!
Whenever I’m in Pasadena I have to stop by Tops! I have yet to find another place that beats their Fried Zucchini! All their portions are huge and totally sharable! I also like their bacon/avacado burger..mmmm. Shakes are nice a creamy with great thickness! Just recently went there and they’re taking cards now!

Horrible Service!
If i could I wouldn’t give any stars.
On a recent visit to SF, my friends and I thought we found the perfect spot to watch some college football and have lunch. They had all our favorite beers on tap for $15/pitcher. Their food selection was great and I must say SF has some amazing clam chowder!
But here comes the negative…
Our waitress was a totally B****!! 1. She got an order completely wrong 2. She never checked on us 3. We even had to ask if she was still on shift!
But the kicker is we left her a pretty small tip in reflection of her poor service and she came back to our table 3 times(which is more than she did the entire time we were sitting there) and told us we were horrible people and that we don’t know how to tip. She also tolds us if we weren’t sitting there the entire game she would have made more money on food orders. 1. if she would have come to check on us we would have order way more food and drinks! 2. I was under the impression that this bar was a sports bar. Maybe the 20 or so tvs playing all the college games gave me the wrong impression. 3. There were plenty of open tables while we were there! And to top it all off she came back to our table again and told us she didn’t need our tips.
I don’t know when people started thinking that Tips and gratuity are a right and not a gift of appreciation. In general I am a good tipper and especially at any bar. But I will make it a point to reflect horrible(not just poor) service in my tips when its necessary.
Dishes I tried:

Blue Moon on Tap!
I love Blue Moon and there aren’t many places that have it on tap. So Lucille’s gets my 3 stars just for that! Even it can be really pricey at the BBQ place, the food’s delicious. So you’re getting what you paid for. From the outside the restaurant may look small, but you’ll be surprised with how big the place really is!
Dishes I tried:
BBQ Tri Tip
Nice and tender. Great with any of their bbq sauces!

Perfect Sunday Brunch!
Sunday is saved for Schooner or Later! The prefect place to pick up a mimosa or bloody mary. Their food is always good and I have yet to be disappointed by anything on the menu. Its always filling!
The wait can be up to 1hr, but you can put your name in and kill time at the farmers market near by, The marina is a great backdrop to your lazy Sunday. Although beware sitting outside your chances of getting pooped on is pretty high! The table unbrellas don’t offer you or your food much protection.
**I would usually give 5 stars to my favorite places, but this one gets minus one for their service. We always get stuck with the same waitress who doesn’t pay any attention to us and flirts with other customers/friends.
Dishes I tried:
The Mess
Might not sound to appetizing, but this dish is super yummy! Get a half order, its even filling enough for your average guy!

Good Brews for Happy Hour
I’ve come here for breakfast and dinner before and can’t really say their food stands out. But they have a pretty good Happy Hour:
$3.00 Well Drinks
$2.00 Pints of BBC Beer
$7.00 Pitchers of BBC Beer
$1.25 Chicken Tacos (12:00pm to 6:30pm)
$1.75 Shrimp Tacos (12:00pm to 6:30pm)
I usually enjoy Fat Tire and the bartender mixed a few of the house brews together and it turned out really good! Their tacos aren’t bad at all, but I do wish they had more food options.
Overall, it was a nice laid back atmosphere for early-week happy hour.

Amazing hidden spot!
Love the Caribbean cuisine! Fun restaurant in the Silver Lake area! Everyone loves the jerk chicken, but the menu has lots of other tastey items. Order a bunch of different items and share! Make sure you grab a pitcher of sangria while you’re there!
Dishes I tried:
Po Boy Sandwich
my favorite lunch menu item. so yummy with the plantains!
Seafood Pasta
great pasta dish that i can never finish in one sitting!
