I managed to get a table at top chef harold’s restaurant after my friend made the reservation the night before. I got to sit at one of the cool orange booths and had most perfectly cooked steak and awesome cuttlefish. for dessert, get the murrary’s cheese plate. The blue/brie cheese was better than both of the other desserts I had. I’ve never had cheese plates but after tonight I’ll be ordering them more often.
Had a 5:30 table and saw harold several times during the beginning of my dinner; he sort of disappeared into the kitchen once it got busy after being there for about a half hour. looks exactly the same as he was on tv.
I will def go back and hopefully they’ll the tasting menu.

one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. the only thing better is probably toro in tokyo and almond croissants in paris. get the wagyu, but pass on the fois gras.

I’ve gone twice within the last 2-3 weeks; once for dinner and once for lunch. No repeats except for the shaved frozen foie gras with lychee, pine nut brittle, and riesling jelly, which happens to be the best single dish I’ve ever tasted. Dinner was roughly 10 courses while lunch had 17 and lasted 3 hours. Other standouts include the egg dishes, the sea urchin, and the risotto. Def prefer dinner since lunch was too much food, everything was very good. If I ever go for lunch again, I’m not eating for like 2 days.
