The seafood stuffed pepper was delcious but a bit spicy! The real draw seems to be the Ceviches, although I didn’t try them everyone at my table enjoyed. Very few options for the non-seafood lovers out there.

The restaurant is marketed as an upscale italian restaurant, although what seems to make it upscale is that pretty much nonthing on the menu is recognizeable as Italian. With that said the roasted chicken was quite good!

By far the most enjoyable steak I have ever had in my life of 24 years. The sirloin was cooked to medium-rare perfection and the side of Roquefort cheese was a necessary pungent yet delicious compliment. I also highly highly recommend the mushroom caps and this is coming from a usual mushroom cynic.

Very trendy. Each table has a lazy-suzy which is great for sharing the wide array of appetizers Tao offers. The Petit Filet Mignon which the wasabi crust was tasty, but only after dipping each piece in soy sauce. A trip to tao is not complete without ordering the dessert fortune cookie. The humongous (bigger than your head) fortune cookie that can satisfy 6-8 comes complete with raunchy fortunes. Overall a fun time.

The French onion soup is a must. It comes in a sizeable bowl oozing deliciously down the sides with melted cheese, everyone in my party was pleased with this dish. Many also seemed to enjoy the seared fish entrees, which were apparently cooked to perfection. I ordered the Petite Filet combination lunch, which came with a wide array of small portions of mediocre food (i.e. a small bowl of french fries). The modern art piece above the bar, which is a series of television screens capturing a customers entrance into Brasserie, is a curious addition to this trendy midtown eatery.

Overall a nice sensation for one’s tastebuds. The fried calamari was crisp and flavorful and not very chewy. Instead of a breadbasket, upon arrival you are served a delicious jenga-style stack of bread rectangles with a buttery sweet sauce soaking into the bottom of the stack, but still available for dipping. The Kobe beef burger was very flavorful, even without the bun. It was the first time I had Kobe beef and it wont be the last.

No comparison to Sparks (see previously completed sparks review). I had the rib eye after learning from the waiter it is the most popular choice, it was tasty but was not a $45 steak. I also ordered the steak medium-rare, instead it came out medium-well… a subtle distinction maybe but not for a steak house, afterall these subtleties are their business. Another person from my party had to send his steak back twice because it was overcooked (he ordered medium-rare, it came out close to well). I don’t know if the oven was on the fritz today or what the story was but at the end of the day it was an average steak for an above average price.

Excellent! This place adds an elegant flare to traditional Mexican dining. The decor is top notch. The main dining area is spacious, colorful and elegant. For a NYC dinner the prices are fantastically reasonable. You are also welcome to as many warm tortillas with honey butter and fresh tortilla chips with salsa as you desire. I recommend the guacamole which is prepared fresh tableside. I also recommend the Carnitas Yucatan which is a citrus-spiced pulled pork and the enchilada stack which is an artful yet delicious take on traditional enchiladas. The Murray hill/ midtown area has many other choices for Mexican dining: baby bos, caliente cab etc… however none will delight your wallet and your taste buds as well as Sinigual will.
