Hidden Gem
I live on the mainline and this is one of the best hidden treasures when it comes to dining. Traditional English fare including full tea is always pleasant. Beyond that, there is always a selection of sandwich and soup specials that will make you an addict. This is a great little spot to get together with friends. Parking is always tough b/c typically pretty busy but they are moving to a brand new spot in Spread Eagle Village (Wayne) in October. According to the signs they will have outdoor dining and begin serving dinner in 2010. That will be a great change from the normal eateries along lancaster ave. I will post another review after trying the new spot. I’m sure it’s going to be awesome.
Dishes I tried:
Roast beef and Brie Sandwich
This is one of my favorite sandwiches. Served on a warm crispy croisant with melted brie, caramelized onions, and horseraddish sauce. Even when it’s not a special they will still accomodate my request! Love it love it!!
