Best Lasgne I've ever had

A friend recommended Mama Lucia’s to me or I might never have found it tucked away in a strip mall. I wasn’t overly impressed with the decor but I loved their Spinach Lasgne. It has paper thin pasta, a great sauce and just the right proportions of spinach and cheese.
I would go there anytime for Italian.

Have a meal and help someone

FareStart is a training site for homeless people who want to work in a restaurant. It is an extended program that includes housing in addition to training.
The food is good and the service is stellar. Stop by and enjoy a great meal.

Home of the Pie Goddess

That’s right, the Pie Goddess. She’s been written up locally and nationally for her pies, and she deserves it. The food overall at Panini’s is excellent although the service can be slow, but you have to save room for pie. I love the Peanut Butterfinger pie and my husband swears by the Tollhouse pie heated up with a little ice cream

Go for breakfast

We meet friends here almost every Saturday for breakfast. The breakfasts are great, with lots of real homefried potatoes. They make a great holidaise for the eggs benedict and they make their own corn beef hash.
The servers are fun and friendly.
One word of warning: it’s not a great place once you get beyond breakfast.

Great veggie mousaka

This house hidden in Auburn has really good vegitarian mousaka. My husband loves greek food and so we go here pretty often. Don’t let the outside fool you; the inside has a cute decor and you feel at home right away.

Worth every penny!

I have loved coming to the Dahlia for years and across a few locations! It’s hard to pick a favorite because the menu is all about what’s in season being served well prepared and presented with dash and class.
I don’t drink but my friends rave about the cocktails. I rave about the desserts.
If you are going out for a nice evening in Seattle or a truly romantic date, this is the place.

This is something you have to be lucky enough to catch when it is available but if you go and it’s on the menu, grab it. The dressing is light and lets the delicate flavor of the “whites” (which would be the greens in any other salad) be the main focus.

Nice atmosphere; okay food

I take my Italian food very seriously after taking a cooking tour in Italy last year. While the portions at Maggiano’s are huge, the food is just okay.
Everything is over done, too much sauce, too much cheese, just too much. I always leave full but also feeling really heavy.
