Really good Indian food. The place is a little bit fancy, and kind of expensive (entrees from $16 to $26), but you won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for good Indian cuisine.

Louisiana home cookin’, cafeteria style. Need I say more? Best gumbo and bread pudding I have ever tasted in my life, and more than 2 meals’ worth of food for under $10.

Carver’s resembles a small convenience store with tables and chairs instead of shelves and aisles- it’s a pretty simple principle: huge portions of great home cooked southern food, cafeteria-style. Come in, get your main dish and two sides, take your meal to a table and CHOW DOWN! It’s only open from 11-3 Mon-Fri, but it’s totally worth it if you want some brisket and candied sweet potatoes with no frills. HUGE cups (more like tubs) of sweet tea are served with your meal as well. Just remember CASH ONLY!

Service is great. Not necessarily friendly, but if you want friendly, go somewhere else, but don’t expect to get a better burger. Vortex has awesome burgers and good beer always on tap (unless they run out of certain varieties, which happens often). Definitely go to vortex if you are craving a juicy burger with tater tots or fries…….their salads are amazing too, and you can substitute one for fries for a tiny extra charge.

Simple- pizza by the slice and beer. But not just any pizza- Fellini’s pizza is really fresh with lots of choices of fresh toppings. Everything is real- no fake cheese and pasty sauce at this place! And it’s super cheap too. The atmosphere is great too- laid back with big wooden booths and an outdoor seating area.

GREAT pub food! Great selection of beers on tap. If you’re craving anything fried, burgers, or chili, this is a great place to go.

They have great homemade soft ice cream. The atmosphere is cool, it’s like a 50’s diner. There are picnic tables in back, so you can sit outside on a nice day. You can count on having a high-schooler as your waitress, and she will most likely be chewing gum and talking to her friends until you’re ready to order.

Their “Texas-sized” margaritas are huge and cheap. The ribs, chicken, and cornbread are good and cheap as well. It is pretty noisy though, definitely not a quiet date place.

If you love thin crust pizza, this place rocks! It is a Mario Battali restaurant, so the food is very high quality, but the restaurant is surprisingly casual. For two appetizers, two pizzas, and four beers we only paid like $80 total, which is pretty darn cheap for such wonderful food. NOTE: Call a couple weeks in advance to reserve- the place is popular and gets booked way in advance

Service was awesome, and the prices were reasonable, considering the insane amount of food for them! This is a very cute cafe with delicious fresh food and lots of goodies like biscuits, mini muffins, scones, and coffee drinks. I highly reccommend the West Egg for breakfast or lunch anytime!
