An excellent steakhouse with the added appeal of being a central Sideways location. The steaks are expertly prepared with an amazing spice rub (which they sell) and no need for sauces. Entrees come with tons of extras – potato, salad, soup, etc. They make their own very nice wines too.

John’s Garden has the best tuna sandwich in the world! Despite being in the same shopping center with Nobu, the guys working the counter are friendly and welcoming. There is usually a line snaking through the whole store.

I seriously go here way too much. $2.75 for any plate of sushi sounds suspect, but they are seriously high volume and cash only and have a limited menu, so it totally works. Obviously not the best sushi you’ll ever have, but it satisfies the need for a quick fix.

For the Keller enthusiast who just can’t afford the French Laundry (though we did take pictures in front of it). The mussel appetizers were fresh, scrumptious, and reasonable. The steak and fish special were awesome, but my pork short rib was the winner. For a French bistro the sauces were surprisingly light, allowing all of the flavors to come through. The wine list starts around $50 a bottle, but even those are fantastic. Totally worth it.

This place is the best. The room as elegant, but not stuffy. The waiter was so knowledgable and nice, without being pretentious or overly familiar. The food was delicate, rich, and with great quality ingredients. It’s a real traditional french bistro experience.

This is our favorite restaurant in our new neighborhood. It’s small and quaint and feels family owned. They have ten different kinds of gnocchi – and they are all amazing. Very affordable wine list as well. And the best tiramisu I’ve ever tasted (even in Italy!).
