Tasty Treats at Red Mango
Yummy in my tummy! My boss suggested we swing by Red Mango as a late afternoon pick-me-up and boy did it do the trick! This small shop in the outside area of Alderwood Mall had 3 basic frozen yogurt flavors and a bunch of fresh fruit toppings. The yogurt has a clean, fresh taste to it. Lots of delicious-looking toppings to choose from. Plus, they give out samples!!!
Dishes I tried:
Mango
The mango was nice and fresh and cut into bite-sized pieces. Went well with the mango frozen yogurt.

Best Clams EVER!
I came here for Brunch on Sunday for the first time. Wow, was it good! We had the famously delicious clams for an appetizer. Then I split the eggs benedict and french toast with another person in my party. I would definitely order the eggs benedict again. The Canadian Bacon was cut nice and thinly. The hollandaise had a nice strong lemon flavor. The french toast was okay, but nothing to write home about. I’ve been here plenty of times and the service has always been good. We’ve always had reservations, though, as this place does get busy for dinner. It was fairly crowded for Brunch, as well. They do well with kids, bringing them cups with lids and straws and coloring materials.
Dishes I tried:
Eggs Benedict
The Canadian Bacon was cut nice and thinly. The hollandaise had a nice strong lemon flavor.
French Toast
Candied pecans were good, but it was your basic french toast.
Clams
The sauce is so delicious and dipping the bread is a must! Ask for extra bread!

Great Hawaiian Food
I also went here for dinner last Wednesday and had the Mochiko Chicken (which is BOMB) and spring rolls and spam musubi. The waitstaff is awesome, especially Angela!
Dishes I tried:
Hawaiian Sweet Bread French Toast
I love the nice, thick slices of Hawaiian Sweet Bread! Comes with eggs, bacon and sausage.

Try the Fries!
I was excited to come here after I saw that Obama grabbed lunch for his whole staff here in a documentary. The cajun fries here are BOMB! I’m not big on spice, but these fries weren’t spicy, just flavorful! I ordered just a regular small hamburger. You can ask for a big range of toppings free of charge. Their beef patties are fresh, not frozen, and boy can you taste the difference. You can scoop out a bowl of peanuts in shells to munch while you wait for your order. Small fries are enough for 2 people, large is for 3-4 people. The prices here are very good! The place itself is cool, and there are sacks of fresh potatoes sitting there ready to be french fries. Apparently you can fax your order in, for people who like things old school.
Dishes I tried:
Jr. Burger
Tasted much fresher than fast food. Could customize.
Fries
The portions here are HUGE! The fries were delicious! Not too spicy, but definitely had a kick!

Try the Chai!
I’ve been here twice in the past week and it’s a great cafe! I had their grande soy chai (like I usually get from Starbucks) and was surprised that they had both a spicy and sweet version. I chose the sweet and it was soooo good! I also got a lemon tart and it had a kick! Very good prices and the space is great for small meetings and getting work done. The chairs are a little uncomfortable, though.
Dishes I tried:
Lemon Tart
Nice and tart, yet sweet and flaky.

BEST DONUTS EVER!
OMG! Gourmet donuts right in Mill Creek! Their branding campaign is fabulous! When you walk into the adorable shop, you’ll notice the cute pink and brown stools and the clean display case of yummy treats. They have sooooooo many to choose from.
I went with a co-worker and we decided to taste 6 varieties. We cut them into bite sized pieces so we could try them all! First we tried the glazed donut which was much moister than Krispy Kreme and it melted in my mouth. Then we tried the Cherry Bomb, which was moist and tasted like marichino cherries. Then we tasted the Apple Fritter and the cinnamon in it was devine! Then we tried the German Chocolate and the icing was yummy! This was followed by Red Velvet which featured mouth-watering cream cheese frosting. The most unique one we tried was the Aztec Chocolate which featured cinnamon and cayenne. It was a very “adult” donut and had a cool kick at the end.
Afterword, we brought the donuts back to our office and had our colleagues taste them. People who don’t normally like apple fritters at all said they would actually buy Frost’s apple fritters. the Aztec Chocolate was a big hit because it’s so different. The overall opinion was Frost has very moist donuts and they all wanted to take a trip there soon!
Frost is very dedicated to the community. They donate their leftover donuts to the Lynnwood Food Bank and are sponsoring the Light the Night walk. I had the pleasure of speaking with all three of the owners and I tell you, these are some of the nicest guys! They are so passionate about what they do and they are just an explosion of energy! Be prepared for holiday-themed donuts and donuts from around the world. I put in my request for Malasadas!

Try the Peach Crepes!
I ate here for the 2nd time on Saturday. Last time, I had the banana pancakes which were absolutely delicious! Lots of bananas it them, which is hard to come by! This time, I ordered peach crepes with whipped cream. Yummiest breakfast EVER! The service is a little slow, but they warn you right on the cover of the menu. Their menu is pretty extensive. It’s mostly people in their 60’s-80’s who dine here. It’s much better than IHOP or Denny’s. The crepes weren’t as processed tasting as IHOP. Everything tasted like it had been made from scratch.
Dishes I tried:
Peach Crepes
The peach crepes with whipped cream just melts in your mouth! The crepes are crispy in areas and soft in others. The peaches are not too sweet. Very light and fulfilling!
