Best bread in town, quality Italian food.

I’d rate this the top Vietnamese Pho location in Richmond that is actually a restaurant I’d take a friend to. The service is sometimes very slow and the english is very rare, however it is definitely the best broth you can find.

Sunset Thai has officially impressed me.

On my first visit to Sunset Thai, we walked in and were very impressed by the style and quality inside the restaraunt. It looked like it would be a great meal. A more formal dining experience than things like Thai Diner in Richmond.

However, we apparently missed the memo that you needed to make sure to specify if you wanted ANY spice in your food. We both ordered curry dishes, and barely could taste any flavor to the dish. The flavor was excellent, but when I what Thai, I want it hot!

We gave it another chance though, and they impressed us greatly. Making sure to ask about the spiciness, I got a convoluted 4-6 level scale, and just asked for it hotter than the average dish.

We tried 3-4 appetizers and 5-6 entres within our group of people, and each of them tasted amazing.

I highly reccomend checking it out, just make sure to order your spiciness. I guess they assume Americans cant handle it.

Pho 89 was a random find while driving through Central Park in Fredericksburg. The only real vietnamese dish I can muster up to order is Pho.

Their broth was very flavorful and very ‘think’, more authentic than some places. It reminded me of Vietnam 1 in Richmond in terms of style, but I think it surpassed it in taste. One plus was their crispy spring rolls were nice, hot, greasy, and tasty.

It is better than your average Pho noodle soup, but not the best I’ve ever had.

After eating at various Indian places across Richmond, I was reccomended to check out the lunch buffet at Malabar. True to the reccomendation, it is some of the freshest and best tasting indian food in Richmond (at least at a lunch buffet).

The quantity and quality here are larger than that of any other location I’ve visited locally.

The only downfall to Malabar is the fact that their Naan is less than desirable and slow to arrive, however its still good enough to get the job done with your dish.

Sadly, this one does not top my list for Indian food in Richmond for lunch. For lunch buffets, I’d reccomend looking up India Royal or Malobar for Indian dining.

Best Thai food I’ve had in Richmond, VA. Lunch is incredibly affordable. Check out the lunch specials which come with a small salad.

Crab Fried Rice and the Curry Noodle are the best lunch reccomendations.

Massaman Curry is the ultimate dinner dish.

This is not one of the better Vietnamese restaraunts in Richmond, VA. Take a quick run down the road to Tan-A Plaza for some of the best food around.

Vietnam 1 is a great place for the American diner. Pho So 1 is a step up from Vietnam 1

If you explore Rigsby road, you might even find the best Pho in town! (Look for a blue roof)
