Today was my first time eating at Pizza Mart. Overall, I would give this an average rating and can claim that I actually ate their famous original jumbo slice pizza. Although, it was a pretty good deal at $4/slice, the quality was average and the slice is big enough to serve two people. My only disappointment was the fact that it wasn’t a fresh slice meaning that it was sitting in the warming oven at the time my order was placed. Maybe things would have been different if I went there at 2 or 3AM, after a few drinks and my senses were subpar, and maybe if I only gotten a freshly made slice….

Not to mention that there were other pizza restaurants (Boli’s and Anthony’s) serving jumbo slices on the same street.

Bought 3 empanadas to-go. The curry, chorizo, and spinach empanadas are excellent! These are probably the best empanadas I have ever tasted—-at least for now. I’ll definitely go back to get some more and try the other varieties.

Great treat if you can’t decide which ice cream store to visit in Georgetown. Directly accross from Thomas Sweet, DolceZZa offers gelato in an assortment of flavors. I sampled the pistachio which was absolutely delicious but ended up getting a scoop of Dolce de leche and Chocolate. Both flavors were rich. Dolce de leche was sweet and decadent. The chocolate (not hazelnut chocolate) flavor tasted like a thick fudge brownie mix/batter, and was so rich it was almost bitter. Next time, I would order thec chocolate alone because it can easily overpower the other flavors.

This is my second time at La Madeleine. The pesto pasta salad is definitely a good choice. Anyone looking for decent quality “French” food on a budget, this is the place. They offer self-serve sliced bread all day long. Their pastries are supurb!

Great food and excellent service! The restaurant is nice but small. I am not sure if they serve authentic Vietnamese food but it’s “Great Pho Everyone.” Also, I am not sure if this is true of all Vietnamese restaurants but you don’t ask the waiter for the bill but rather you get up and make the payment after the meal. This works for larger parties but they usually split the party’s bill into individual bills.
