Doc Magrogan's Oyster House
Feb 6, 2008
I Love This Place
I never ate oysters until I tried some of the smaller ones that Doc offers. If you don’t know oysters, this is a great place to learn. The daily oyster menu tells you size, place of origin, and flavor. And they serve the oyster with a choice of mignonette sauce or cocktail sauce. The vinegary mignonette really lets the flavor of the oyster shine through. The fish and chips is good, as are the daily specials I’ve tried. The wine list is a little pricey for the oaky chardonnays I like, but the draft beer is good.

Really Good Indian Food
We eat here all the time, and really enjoy the food. The portions can be small, but the quality is always good. Bindlemom needs to understand that many of the waiters have a minimal command of English and she needs to be a little more sensitive. If her son has food allergies, they should eat at home. There are always hidden ingredients in Indian food, even if you ask all the right questions. Chefs have secrets.
